I like what you're doing. This may be so very helpful to anyone that has to plan around the weather to do work.

About
Heads Up Weather was born years ago as an on-call service for outdoor contractors, landscapers, and any weather dependent business that could use that extra "heads up" about the more short-term, immediate weather impacts in between morning forecasts and when storms hit.
I took a step back from the private weather industry years ago and it sat for a long while. The thing is, weather has always been a passion and I've always followed it to help family and friends (especially in the southern NH area). So, I wanted to bring it back to the online world and continue to help people with their planning. I enjoy helping folks understand what is happening and why. This page is just an extension of what I've been doing all along.
This isn't for money - it isn't for fame - it's just something I enjoy doing. And I hope that I can provide some sort of support and insight for you. I know there are many other weather resources out there doing great work - I'm not trying to copy anyone or reinvent forecasting. While many topics will be covered here, its focus is mainly on the short-term, imminent weather impacts for southern NH and New England in general as more of a "heads up" for your daily planning. As a long-time Amherst resident, I am just as invested in these updates as you are.
Curious about my experience? I worked as an Air Force weather forecaster while completing my degree from Mississippi State University's Operational Meteorology program. That transitioned to civilian work as a ski resort forecaster for resorts nationwide through Snowforecast.com and a ski reporter for Snocountry. I also worked as a radio meteorologist for several years providing forecasts to radio stations nationwide (including WZID) and the Caribbean, including Bloomberg Radio in NYC, as well as town forecasts across NH and MA, and the Manchester-Boston Airport.
